ANSWER: I purchased these as gifts so do not have a lot of experience using them myself, but from what I saw it only writes in white. Of course there may be other pen options I did not see or look into, but I only saw white writing. by Gretchen R 4/25/2012
ANSWER: Nope. My kids enjoyed these tablets a lot and I appreciated that they were much cleaner than a write on wipe off board but serves essentially in the same way. Now that my kids have LeapPads, they haven't used these so much but frankly, I've started using them! They are very handy to leave on the counter to leave notes/messages/to do reminders. I recently grabbed one I have 2 now because I needed to tell the nanny that a basket of clothes in the laundry room were clean...I just scribbled "clean" across the board and tossed it on top. Very handy! by Heather S 4/25/2012

QUESTION: Are the boogie boards able to withstand extreme conditions such as heat, cold, water etc? by None N 2/11/2012
ANSWER: We have taken it in the car this winter, and it seems to be fine. Also, my daughter has been quite rough with it unfortunately, but it has withstood the torture by Lisa S 2/13/2012
ANSWER: Yes, so far. I purchased 2 of them at Christmas time and my boys love them. They been through a few accidental fall and work just fine and the screens clear so nicely. We live in Minnesota and they have held up great. by D N 2/12/2012
ANSWER: We have not exposed it to water or heat, but it has been fine in extreme cold left in the van overnight. We bought two for our VERY active boys who tend to be hard on things and it has been a great product. We have used combs, pencils, and even a fork to write on the surface and it still looks new. by Tatum J 2/11/2012
ANSWER: Our Boogie Board has held up well to cold conditions. I leave it in the diaper bag and it has been left in our van for days in the cold and I haven't had any problems. Also, it has had apple juice spilled on it multiple times and I haven't noticed any problems with it. I just just a damp wash cloth and wipe it down. Love this for my kids to doodle on while at Church, Shopping or anywhere we go. They love it! by katie k 2/11/2012
ANSWER: We have not had any trouble with Temperature changes. It continues to work in the car as the temperature changes from cold to warm winter months We have not exposed it to water so for that I am unsure. However, overall it seems to be very durable. It gets used a lot and so far it remains in good condition. by F I 2/11/2012
